2019 Ram Heavy Duty Lone Star Model Debuts at DFW Auto Show

The Ram Lone Star is a Texas truck through and through. Now, with the 2019 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty Lone Star models recently revealed at the DFW Auto Show in Dallas, truck fans in Texas have even more incredible options for fulfilling their driving, towing, hauling and worksite needs.

“First and foremost, the Ram Heavy Duty Lone Star edition is a powerful, hard-working truck that meets the demands of Texas truck buyers,” said Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Brand. “Trucks are a big part of life in the Lone Star State, and Ram offers the segment’s best combination of performance, strength, luxury and technology.”
The 2019 Ram Heavy Duty Lone Star can be equipped with one of three body configurations and a choice 4×4 or 4×2 powertrains.
Texas truck buyers can purchase a Lone Star special edition 2500 or 3500 Heavy Duty model starting in this year’s second quarter.
The Ram Lone Star features special accents like “Lone Star” badges in the cabin, an exterior “Lone Star” badge on the tailgate, chrome door handles, standard 18-inch steel wheels, and halogen headlamps. Texas buyers can customize their Ram Lone Star model with one of two packages for the interior. A “Lone Star” nameplate badge embossed on a closed upper-dash door is available when buyers opt for the optional equipment group. Also included in the group is an 8.4-inch multifunction touch screen and power driver seat.

New tech for the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty models includes a 360-degree surround-view camera with trailer reverse guidance and advanced trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems. The Ram 3500 features an available 6.7-liter High Output Cummins Turbo Diesel engine that boasts 1,000 lb-ft of torque.
