The Hyundai Ioniq Plug-In, Ioniq Hybrid, Kona, and Santa Fe recently won awards in an annual study that rates vehicles on their eco-friendliness and cost of ownership.

For its 2019 Performance Awards, the Automotive Science Group studied 1,640 vehicles and rated them on their environmental impact, value, societal effects and overall performance.

“The recognition by Automotive Science Group, one of the most trusted data-driven names in the automotive industry, is a testament to Hyundai’s focus on quality and excellence in social, environmental and economic performance,” said Scott Margason, Hyundai Motor America’s director of product planning.

Here’s a look at the Hyundai vehicles recognized by ASG.

Hyundai Ioniq Plug-In

The Ioniq Plug-In was among 38 cars on ASG’s Best of 2019 list and was named to the Best 5 All-Around Performance list in the large car segment. The Ioniq Plug-In also won for Best All-Around Performance and Best Environmental Performance in the full-size car class. ASG noted that the Ioniq Plug-In had the best environmental performance and smallest carbon footprint out of all the vehicles it tested.
