2 Nissan Trucks Land on ‘US News’ Towing List
The Nissan Frontier and Nissan TITAN may vary greatly in towing capacity, but they’re both formidable trucks with a lot to offer drivers. That includes being named to U.S. News & World Report’s list of the 13 Best Trucks for Towing.

2019 Nissan Frontier
Although the 2019 Nissan Frontier is somewhat stuck in the past design-wise, it’s still an impressive truck that’s kind to most drivers’ budgets and a range of towing capacities.
“For maximum towing, upgrade to the available King Cab SV trim, fitted with optional 261-horsepower V6. In its rear-wheel-drive format, equipped with a five-speed automatic and Class IV hitch, you’ll get the full 6,720-pound potential,” reports U.S. News & World Report writer Nick Kurczewski.
Now is the time to seek out the 2019 Frontier if you’re concerned about the price tag; the revamped model for 2020 will boast a higher MSRP.
2020 Nissan TITAN
For serious towing power, approximately 9.370 pounds when properly equipped, opt for the 2020 Nissan TITAN, which leaves compact models struggling with the heavy lifting.
“Thanks to its standard 400-horsepower 5.6-liter V8, the TITAN has plenty of power and accelerates strongly when you need to make quick getaways. The TITAN in SV trim and King Cab format with rear-wheel drive is the model that gets you to 9,370 towing capability,” Kurczewski writes.
The 2020 TITAN even offers more trailering assistance with the optional packages. The SL Tow Package features tow hooks in the front, trailer light check, trailer brake controls, and power heated chrome manually extendable tow mirrors with embedded turn signals. The SV Tow Package features all this and adds trailer side mirrors with puddle lights, Class IV tow hitch receiver, and power heated black manually extendable tow mirrors with embedded turn signal indicators.

Depending on your towing needs, Nissan offers two exceptional options. For lighter loads, opt for the well-equipped Nissan Frontier. For serious towing jobs, upgrade to the Nissan TITAN.
