GM has quite a few appealing additions for the 2020 model year. The Chevy Camaro is getting a navigation upgrade kit. The GMC Terrain will now come with an available Denali Premium Package. The 2020 Silverado 1500 is now available in Midnight and Rally editions.

The brand recently revealed one more new thing for next year: a keyless entry keypad accessory. Per GM Authority, this feature will be available on select 2020 Buick, Chevy, and GMC models.

More about the keypad

As you might have guessed, the keyless entry keypad allows you to enter your vehicle by pressing a combination of physical buttons on the auto’s exterior. To add this accessory to your vehicle, simply order it at a nearby dealership. Then, when it comes in, have them install it on the B-pillar of the driver’s side door.

According to GM Authority, the keypad will cost around $125. So, it’s a fairly affordable convenience feature to go with if you prefer the tangibility of a keypad to the conventional keyless-entry key fob system that most modern vehicles have. Plus there’s the side bonus of still being able to enter the vehicle if you happen to lock the keys inside.
