Kia Soul Wins Best Buy Award from Consumer Guide Automotive
Consumer Guide® Automotive recently announced their list of best vehicles to buy for the 2017 year, including a variety of categories ranging from subcompact cars to premium large SUVs. For the third year in a row, the Kia Soul was honored in the subcompact car segment, thanks to its spunky design and exciting features.
“People gravitate toward the Soul because of its head-turning style, extensive feature content, and excellent value. Its practicality makes it a perfect fit for just about every type of lifestyle,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president product planning Kia Motors America. “Being recognized by Consumer Guide Automotive for a third consecutive year proves the Soul continues to be a crowd favorite, and with the new turbocharged version offered for 2017, we anticipate its popularity will surge to new heights.”
Notable comments of praise from the editors included remarks about the Soul’s elevated ride height, the tall “box on wheels” shape, and the fact that it straddles the line between subcompact car and subcompact SUV. The lack of all-wheel drive was the deciding factor on where the Soul was ultimately placed.
The Kia Soul has a lot to offer, from the practicality and capability of the interior to the expressive exterior styling. Optional interior features like a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, and a cooled glove box allow for ultimate customization. Under the hood is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that provides a useful 130 horsepower.
Marking its 50th year of selecting the best vehicles around, Consumer Guide Automotive carefully considers value and vehicle price to choose the best buys each year and have chosen wisely with the Kia Soul. With some exciting upgrades to the 2017 model, we look forward to seeing it on the list next year.
