Kia Stonic Earns Five-Star Collision Safety Rating from Euro NCAP
When equipped with the Advanced Driving Assistance pack, the Kia Stonic has earned the highest possible rating for collision safety from Euro NCAP.
According to Kia, the compact crossover, when “fitted with Kia’s Advanced Driving Assistance,” earned “93% for adult protection, 84% for child occupant protection, 71% for pedestrian protection, and 59% in the ‘Safety Assist’ category.”

The Kia Stonic features six standard-fit airbags, which are smartly mated with the Stonic’s Advanced High Strength Steel bodyshell—characteristics that really impressed the Euro NCAP.
The Kia Stinger features an impressive selection of Kia’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Available systems include Blind-spot Collision Warning with Rear Cross-traffic Collision Warning, Forward Collision-avoidance Assist with pedestrian recognition, and Lane Departure Warning. Beginning in mid-2018, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) will be available.
The Kia Stonic comes standard with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Vehicle Stability Management (VSM).
“The Stonic’s European-designed cabin places technology and ergonomics at its heart, offering buyers as much potential for customisation as the exterior with a range of vivid colour packs for buyers to choose from,” Kia reports.
The Kia Stonic is also equipped with modern-day infotainment capabilities.
“One of the smartest cars in its class, it provides owners with a range of new chassis and infotainment technologies designed to enhance safety, comfort and convenience. The car gets Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ as standard, bringing seamless smartphone functionality to the touchscreen infotainment system,” according to Kia. “Like other Kia models, it is available with a broad range of technologies to enhance comfort and convenience, including heated front seats, automatic cruise control and keyless entry.”
