Production Begins on HPE VelociRaptor 600
We’ve been anxious to learn when the Hennessey Performance VelociRaptor 600 would be uncaged and set upon an unknowing world since its debut last December. Now, it appears that we’re just one step closer to the rollout with the announcement that production is underway in Texas.

The VelociRaptor 600 will start at $73,500, which will include the base model 2015 Ford F-150 FX4 Super Crew 5.0-liter V8 upon which it’s based. It will sport a Roots-type 2.9-liter supercharger that will add 8 psi of boost and bring the V8’s 385-horsepower output up to a whopping 600 horsepower.
“We’ve built over 400 VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged Ford trucks over the past four years. We are simply picking up where we left off with our 2015 VelociRaptor,” says HPE founder John Hennessey. “Having Ford’s world-class new truck design, with a weight savings of nearly 700 pounds, our VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged will have an even greater level of performance and driving excitement!”
HPE will only build 500 examples of the super-powered pickup, which is expected to hit the market…well, sometime in the next year or two. The sooner the better, really.
