The Sportage performed exceptionally well in November

Last month, we reported that Kia had done well selling units for the month of October, especially with the popular Soul and Forte models. This month, the trend continues for the Korean automaker, with 52,504 units sold in November. That number marks a 15.3% increase from the same period last year.

The top performers for November included the Optima and the Soul, both selling over 12,000 units each; but what’s worth noting is that Kia experienced its best-ever sales for the Forte and Sportage models. Overall, there were five models that received double-digit increases in sales last month: Soul, Forte, Sedona, Sportage, and Rio.

The Tecmo Bowl inspired Sorento ad may have helped with sales in November

“With the election occupying everyone’s attention early in the month, sales picked up throughout November and culminated in a strong Black Friday weekend as our ‘Holidays On Us’ sales event drew significant showroom traffic,” said Michael Sprague, chief operating officer and EVP, KMA.

Awards for All

It’s no surprise that the Soul continues to do well each month, especially after an exciting reveal of the 2017 Kia Soul Turbo at the Los Angeles Auto Show last month. The sporty subcompact car also won the Best Buy Award from Consumer Guide® Automotive because of its head-turning style and extensive list of available features.

The Kia Soul continues to soar with increasing sales

The newfound success of the Sportage is not unwarranted either, considering the compact crossover received a top honor from Kelley Blue Book recently. The bold design and functional interior earned the Sportage the Best Buy Award in the CUV segment.

It looks like the sales trend for Kia will definitely continue towards the end of the year. We hope to see some additional new vehicle reveals with a few big auto shows coming up!
